The ceremony will begin at 2:30pm at Notre Dame des Victoires church, 564 Bush St. in San Francisco. The reception will start at 4:30 at the Bohemian Club, 624 Taylor St. in San Francisco. These locations are in the heart of downtown, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. |
| Hotels | San Francisco is a small city- only about 7 miles wide and 7 miles tall- so nowhere is very far from anywhere else. However, you will probably enjoy your stay more if your hotel is as close as possible to the wedding and reception. Fortunately, hotels are plentiful in the immediate vicinity of both. For those of you finding your own hotels, here are some location tips for selecting a hotel: the church itself is steps from Chinatown and the Financial District. Any hotel in either area or around Union Square is very close. Union Square is also a good choice to be near the reception, along with any of the Nob Hill hotels. Fisherman's Wharf is a couple miles north of the church, and North Beach is a mile to the north, but those areas are livelier at night than the more commercial areas around the wedding events. North Beach is a great neighborhood for going out to bars and cafes. Here are some possibilities: Hotel Juliana 590 Bush St. (on the same block as the church) Hotel Triton 342 Grant Ave. (one block from the church) Hotel del Sol * 3100 Webster St. (at Lombard) Days Inn - Lombard St. * 2358 Lombard St. (towards Fisherman's Wharf) Cow Hollow Motor Inn * 2190 Lombard St. Fitzgerald Hotel 620 Post St. (next to the reception) Canterbury Hotel 750 Sutter St. (around the corner from the reception) Hotel Boheme 444 Columbus Ave. (in North Beach) Holiday Inn - Financial District 750 Kearny St. Westin St. Francis 335 Powell St. (on Union Square) Grand Hyatt 345 Stockton St. * = free parking, a rarity in San Francisco ... |
| Parking | The ceremony and the reception are only four blocks apart, so walking between them may be ideal. If you can do this, you may prefer to park by the club so you will be near your car at the end of the night. There are several parking garages in the vicinity of the club. If you will not be walking, we recommend using taxis for your evening transportation. Cabs are usually plentiful on Saturday evenings downtown. There is a large, relatively inexpensive parking garage across the street from the church. You might also consider on-street parking, if you can find a place without a parking meter near either the church or the club (check Pine St.). |
| Leisure | We hope you take time to enjoy your stay in San Francisco! If it can fit your schedule, we strongly encourage you to arrive a day or two early and see the sights of our hometown. With this in mind, we have prepared a guide for our out-of-town guests to help them find some of the best restaurants, bars, and desserts in the city. Please make use of our guide. |
| Wine | Choosing the wines for our wedding day has been a lengthy but rewarding process. We hope you too will enjoy our picks. Here's what we'll be drinking: * White: Kenwood, Sonoma Series Sauvignon Blanc, 2001 (Sonoma County, California) * White: Buena Vista, Sauvignon Blanc, 2001 (Lake County, California) * Red: Steel Creek, Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir, 2001 (Monterey County, California) * Sparkling: Col de' Salici, Prosecco di Valdobbiadene (Veneto, Italy) * Sparkling: Gavioli, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Amabile (Emilia-Romagna, Italy) |

The main course will be Halibut (vegetarian option available), a sustainably harvested fish. For more information, see the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch. Advice for cable car riders: You can catch the cable cars at almost any street corner along their routes. You do NOT need to wait in the long lines with the rest of the tourists at Powell & Market. Attire is black-tie optional. Pride Weekend 2003 is this same weekend as our wedding. Enjoy! Curious about our honeymoon? Here's our itinerary. |
